Hi,
I've updated to the latest unstable branch, logged to my shard and had limited luck with custom housing. Only a few small houses were table to correctly (somewhat) show itself. Most of the houses in Luna are completely messed up.

- could it be an updater issue? maybe i'm not sync to all the files?

Regards,

PQ

good ones (why are signs in Arabic?)

poor ones

- p.s., i cannot walk into any of these houses, the reject comes from client side, no server side. Iris simply doesn't allow me to step onto the stairs.

- p.s. II, I've filed several bug reports collected from my player's responses.

Regards,

PQ

decoding of the custom houses should work in unstable quite well. but at the moment we only display the houses therefore collision with them is not working.

the old iris team created the models and textures so i dont know if there was a particular reason for the arabic text on the sign.

I am using the latest unstable, sync directly from the trunk. Problem is, most houses like the second picture - distorted and away from its base.

It's true. Some custom houses are working, some not. Currently i don't know where the bug is. Maybe hagish can help me, becouse i use his formula.

@Pmouse:thx for testing. stay tuned until it works. hopefully this week.

the new change set 1171 broke my iris, doesn't start up anymore. Something to do with GetAvgFps being a "nil value", Is it the case with you guys? If not then I'll file a bug report when I get a chance.

Keep up the good work, we are all looking forward to this project!

Regards,

PQ

try recompiling, r1171 contains c++ changes, probably a new function added for lua.
most code changes are just lua stuff, but every once in a while a little c++ change is necessary, and in trunk we don't usually update the win binaries with every commit, and there are no linux binaries so far.

All Custom Houses should work now.

Todo:
Walking and blend out upper floors currently don't work in custom houses.

That could be the problem, unfortunately I don't have the required libraries on my boxes. I'll wait until the next trunk copy :)

(I've dedicated this thread to screenshots and promotions of IRIS)

Although some other bugs were noticed, like stone walls are not displayed correctly

Looks nice. I'm currently working on custom multis, to enhance them. i also realised a small bug in clientside multis that don't display them when you come again.

Can you make some nice looking gameplay screenshots with iris2 for us? Spells looks nice too...(do you added the red particle effect?). I prefer Combat/Spell screenshots with no builderrors/or mapdefects.

would be cool.

thx.

Red particles are from fireball spell - this bow has "hit fireball 98%" or something like that.
