Mh. You have Vista. We haven't tested Iris2 on Vista yet. It seems that our 3D Engine cant handle with DirectX 10. I found something (maybe search here also): http://www.ogre3d.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=35117 Try to install DirectX 9 on Vista. You can have both installed. If this doesn't work, try to use the OpenGL Renderer (delete the Ogre.cfg from iris2\bin\ directory and start again and select OpenGL) for now. |

please do not copy/install iris inside the ultima directory. iris should detect where the uo data is automatically, or you can add the data/config.lua to adjust the filepath |

Do you installed the newest DirectX ? you can download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en You error message tells us, that Ogre cant initialize DirectX. |

???? thats correct and thats what ghouly said. But he said, that Iris detects the UO directory automatically, if you have installed UO correct. Thats because Iris needs a standard UO installation. But thats not your problem. Your problem is, that Iris can't find your DirectX! |

Iris works on Vista, as stated above (I use it on Vista 64bit). To get it to work with DirectX, download the latest DirectX 9 update from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/directx) This actually fixes a number of older DirectX 9 games, and is a required install for a number of newer ones (They include it on the CD/DVD) |
