Hi there, did anyone iris get running on a mac? Or does anyone know how to get it running? I would test it on my mac if someone can help me to get a compiled version of iris or an instruction how to do this. Imion |

hi ! you can try to compile, the instructions on http://www.iris2.de/index.php/Building_From_Source might help get you in the right direction, but no-one of us has experience compiling on mac, so we cannot offer you a binary or much help. if you have an intel-processor it should work, but if you have an older ppc processor, iris won't work as it there are endian troubles. |

I've been trying to do this for a while (I'm still on it, though) The main problem is that iris2 has a lot of dependences that are not as easy to install than on linux; for instance, you basically have to compile all dependencies yourself before compiling iris2. And as far as I know, there are problems with the Apple X11 OpenGL implementation. |
