Hi there!

I like the texts, fading away from the players as they say something. But the Speed should depend on the size of the text. In most cases, it's just to fast to read something. So maybe a long text should fade more smoothly. It would be cool, if you could change this for the next stable release.
(And if a player writes a lot of text during a short period of time, the lines above his char should not overlap :D)

Hey, since the last release Iris2 has become so much faster =) That's great, for it's relly playable now on my 2Ghz pc!

hi, nice idea with the textlength. avoiding overlap is a bit tricky to code, but yes, it would be nice.

You could do a Text Bubble style. The closer the speaker, the lower the Z (IE: Closer to the screen), whereas the people further away would be a "further back layer".

But when there are lots of players around you will see nothing but bubbles - I wouldn't prefer that...

You could also have it that the further away it is, the more faded it is.

Or that ONLY the closest ones are opaque, and that the rest are transparent.
