Hello guys, It's my first post on your forums so let me introduce myself really quick, I run a UO shard since 2003 and I used to hate the 3D client since it was awfully slow at the time and it still is, the client itself suffered from many technical issues, memory leaks, slow performance and some good but mostly bad 3d art (I personally used to enjoy the 3d creatures, however not the human avatars). Never been a lover of those fancy colors available in the 2D client for customization so I've never missed them. But I have to admit I fell in love with the 3D Client, not because the 3D itself but it's improved UI, container gumps, menus and texting/chat experience and it was just easier to administrate and build in my server with the 3D client, so much easier to find stuff in the re-sizable inventory which was my major big issue with the old good 2D. Do you guys think it would be possible to bring over the UI/Menus from the 3D client to Iris 2? At least in 3D mode or some options for it would be awesome. * Resizable container gumps which allows much better organization. * Cleaner Menu and UI * Stacking spell/skill icons on the screen. * More functional stats/party bar. * Text/chat interface. I'm loving Iris 2 and I'm also recommending my tiny playerbase to give it a try. Thank you. |

heya, inventory in iris is quite a big bigger than original client already since you can also use the borders of the gump, but resizing isn't possible. Iris development is currently on halt, so no features will be added anytime soon unless a bunch of devs pick up the project, sorry =) |

Iris2 is mostly scripted in lua. If you have some people who have the will to learn basic lua scripting, you can write plugins for Iris2 gui. Here are some notes (only german) for scripting Iris2. http://www.iris2.de/index.php/Scripting_TippsAndTricks |
