varan gave me those files, they are all that remains from the old 2d renderer, the original sourccode was lost.

http://ghoulsblade.schattenkind.net/iri ... 2d_gpl.zip

the most interesting files regarding the 2d renderer are :
lib.2d.renderer.lua
lib.2d.map.lua

most of the code is intact, but local varnames and param names have been lost due to compile+decompile, making it a bit hard to read.

and maybe those as well :
iris (lua code)
iris2 (lua code)

he said the code can be used under GPL.

the rest is probaly the code of the decompiler varan wrote and log output from it.

i post them here so it doesn't get lost and people interested in it can have a look.

a complete rewrite of the 2d renderer is probably the best way to get a working 2d mode in iris, and has already been started (see devblog).

Hello =)

The new 2d mode is linked with iris files (for example: the engine take 3d item .mesh and transform it for a 2d render)

or take the file art of uo ?

it uses file art from uo, no 3d models required for 2d-mode.
