First, let me say Iris 2 looks pretty good atleast from the trailer and screen shots. I am at work ATM so cannot install and play with it yet. I have quite a few questions but I'll start with a couple. I have a lot of custom paperdoll artwork, clothes mostly, and was wondering if this will work in Iris? If anyone has ever setup custom art in the standard client they know that unless you want to create new animations for your game character you have to use the best standard animations you can to match the custom paper doll clothes. Does Iris 2 use the same animations files that the official client uses? My concern is that if I have, let's say, a new custom dress on my paperdoll that has been assigned a standard dress animation, will the little in game character have the proper animation I have assigned that dress? |

Hi there =) for 2d art in paperdoll and containers it should be ok, but the 3d character models are won't work if you just have custom 2d animations for new clothes. for 3D Models we do load the stuff from the uo/Models/ directory : Models.txt and the .lst files and the uo/stichin.def, but we don't load most of the other uo/*.def files yet. hope that helps, good luck =) |
