Hello here, after playing Ghotic3 I realised there are an problem in Iris with size.

I think the difference betwen the character and the wall is not realistic.

look this screenshots:

I think walls need to be increase 20% z level size at minimum
It is possible ?

Regards.

no, sorry.

the problem is that in uo, a house consists of many small object (wall parts, ceiling tiles, door parts) which have independant positions, and the walls have the same height as the door, making the door appear too big or the windows too small.

this problem is not so visible in a bird-like iso perspektive in the original 2d client, but when you have an ego perspektive, it is much more noticable.

scaling individual tiles would leave a gaps between parts everywhere, so the only possibility is scaling everything bigger, which is equivalent to scaling the characters smaller.

we will do that, but it will not solve all problems...

I think scaling everything to fix something like this is the wrong way to go. Only way i can see something like this fixed is to remake the tile(s) etc. and remake the maps with the new tiles.

This problem is similar to the "barrel" problem i noticed back in iris1. As the barrel height was never a "realistic" value that represented the real height, but one that just made it fit correctly in 2D. Fixing something like this is impossible. It will broken one or the other. Fixing it in 3D makes the barrel wrong in 2d and vise versa.

Iris2 should be played from 3rd Person View or Iso-like perspective.

Not 1st Person! We only added this feature, because its easy to add and good for screenshots.

You don't notice this strang effects when you play from a top down view.
