I like the Framed and the unframed design. I think we should do different Styles.

You can test your GUI also in Iris2 (unstable). You can find the Hotbar Material under:
Code:
\_Iris2\data\base\hotbar\

Use CTRL+b InGame to show/toggle it.

(It works after deleting some folders and updating again)

Here is some more with a mini map / radar with some glow.
Also added a resize and switch-index to the spellbar
and in this example the small status is docked to the spellbar:

Hey man! You are working very much on GUI. It's great. And i was thinking. What you think about to do a theme to each class. Like stone to blacksmith, blood to necromancer... it would be nice! :D

I'm also planning to combine different border styles with different glass panels and so forth.

Sience: Check Upload. metal_border_2_slices.png.zip - All in 2^x size. Can you make a box (without a background) out of it? I'm testing for generic dialouges. Edges are 16x16, repeatable borders (top, left, right, bottom) are 256x16.

If you join it correctly it may look like this:

Others can download the original PSD and the ZIP with the sliced PNG files from my share (look up my signature below)

i will check it. did you make them the same as our lugre gui styles under "\data\base\ui\" ?
This is gfx from the mainmenu.

If you wanna make it like them, we can enhance this system for checkboxes aso.

I'd prefer to generate small graphics/slices
so we might have one graphic for all checkboxes,
and maybe only one generic button which can be filled
with different text/labels.

I dislike the idea of "one image for each usage".

I guess it's a yes. ;)

yep, more randomness looks good, but it would be good to have a small common transition section to avoid it being visible, because we don't have gridlines in between like in zw =)
