the wood texture is included in the current iris version already, the color for the stone texture isn't quite right yet, but sience said he'll talk to you about that when he has some freetime.

yes, i have, thank you, i also gave hagish and sience the adress, they liked it, but the colors of the stones wasn't quite right so we haven't included them yet.
sience will contact you about that soon, he has a better overview over the models than i have.

i'm currently coding on two little ingame tools to get info about textures and models near the mouse cursor and to search for the usage specific textures and models on the map, that will hopefully make it easier to make and test textures directly.

This is a grass tex.?

First i am going to start change ground, water textures. After walls etc. and on the end static obj. I must regularize it.

i've started a wiki page to organise this a little : http://www.iris2.de/index.php/Art
also uploaded some terrain screenshots for you.
(and linked to my photo collection which might be useful *grin*)
it's publicly writable, so you can also use it to upload stuff if you want =)

terrain is loaded from original uo data, so i'm afraid it is legally not allowed to use it as a basis for new art.

don't bother doing transitions for now, i'll blend them by using multitexturing and automatically generated alpha maps later.

for terrain i also plan on implementing spanning textures, so they can be really high-res like 1024x1024 or even 2048x2048

also please don't bother with water too much, we'll use a nice pixel shader for that later.

the thing you posted is probably a tree-foilage texture,
you won't find the terrain-textures in the iris data directory, it's loaded from texmaps.mul, if you want to see it directly you can use a varans mulpatcher (http://varan.uodev.de/) or other tools for editing/viewing original uo data.

have you tried installing and running iris ?
i think its hard trying to make textures when you cannot try them out yourself, and it's rather easy to replace the textures in iris and test your new ones directly.
you don't even need a server, you can fly around the world in offline mode also.

I think we dont need 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 res look at this

This is only 512x512px it looks really good and its repeatable.

i was thinking to do...

but one single highres water texture would be good as fallback for graphic cards without shader support,

;)

nope ;P

then you should compile iris2 for linux, that works better :)
http://www.iris2.de/index.php/Building_From_Source
but probably you need to compile ogre1.4 first.

Hi joker.

i'm currently evaluating your texpacks. Most of them are looking good.

I'm adding them to the project during the next big update.

thx
