I found a couple of Bugs we should fixc before a new Stable release.

take a look at here:
http://zwischenwelt.org/trac/iris/ticket/360#comment:1

and here:
http://zwischenwelt.org/trac/iris/ticket/295

We should also cleanup the config, because it's a bad mix now and we should create a background for the mainmenu (because skybox is now disabled).

stable release was neccessary, as the last lugre upgrade made stable crash.
hagish added something to the stable release script to fix the revision number used by svn-external now, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore

4.) Tooltips in 3d differ from 2d Tooltips
3d mode doesn't support the new tooltips yet, the underlying system changed a bit.

hoping to fix all bugs before updating stable is unrealistic anyway

d3d font bug : no idea how to solve that or what might cause it. i'm quite sure i don't have any "if RENDERER = D3D then dofunnythings end" in the sourcecode, since i can't even test wether d3d or opengl is used. ogre bug ?

OpenGL works as showed in the second screenshot. I also have no idea why this differs.

I never said all bugs ;).

Building the windows setup in sync with your linux source download would be good.

Please ask next time if you want to update stable, because as you said you can't test direct3d or windows. I also ask every time when i want to update stable.

I prefer team release process.

thanks.

it wasn't really meant as an official release, it's rather for people using the updater. Without the stable-update now, iris would always crash for them due to a lugre change (texture-atlas lib api change).

might be good, one person i talked to felt a huge performance improvement after updating from the old stable to the current revision. So at least it's not only new bugs *g*
