Sorry Iris2 dev team but the bug tracker is down at the moment. Could you please help me with this crash? Right after i log into my private server(runuo2.0 rc2) i get a weird crash. Now, note that I'm using the ML 2d client with a models folder from the Lord Blackthorns Revenge 3d client. That may be my problem. Here is my Stacktrace: Ogre::exception occurred, see console OGRE EXCEPTION(2:InvalidParametersException): Cannot derive root bone as this skeleton has no bones! in Skeleton::deriveRootBone at ..\src\OgreSkeleton.cpp (line 531) ..\lugre\src\lugre_main.cpp:189:Lugre::Lugre_Run PrintLuaStackTrace: LuaStackTrace: [C]: in function `SetMesh' ..//lua/lib.bodygfx.lua:266: in function `MakeBodyPartGfx' ..//lua/lib.bodygfx.lua:312: in function `CreateBodyGfxPartsFromModelIDArray' ..//lua/lib.bodygfx.lua:155: in function `Update' ..//lua/lib.bodygfx.lua:360: in function `Step' ..//lua/lib.bodygfx.lua:25: in function <..//lua/lib.bodygfx.lua:25> (tail call): ? Thanks, and rock on! |

sounds like iris cannot load the models you are using correctly. i'd suggest using those from the mondains legacy installer linked on our website : http://games.mirrors.tds.net/pub/ea-gam ... _setup.exe |

you can try the 2d mode without 3d models btw, to do that add a line : gCurrentRenderer = Renderer2D to data/config.lua |

Okay, I got the uoml_setup.exe, installed and fully patched. So far, i can only run Iris2 with opengl rendering and on the low setting and 1024x 768 res. It looks like this... The machine im using is an older pc that I use for testing and such. AMD XP 1700+ 1.5 Ghz 512 DDR Ram ATI Radeon 7500 64mb These are my questions: 1. Do you know the minimum requirements needed to run Iris2? 2. Why can't I use direct3d9 rendering? I get the black screen after I login. I did d/l and install the needed files from your website. 3. I'm using a Runuo 2.0 RC2 shard with very little modification. As you can see from the screenshot above, there are lots of missing and/or corrupted grafics and sluggish gameplay. Is all this due to my older machine im using? Or does Iris2 work better with custom maps? I do plan on doing loads more testing with Iris2. These are a few things I need to know, going forward to help you try to improve Iris2. Thanks for all your feedback on this. |

64mb vram might be too small for iris. @directx problems : try installing a newer directx9 : http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... redist.exe |

You have an onboard graphicchip. An very old one. ATI Radeon 7500 64mb You should update directx and your graphic drivers to the newest possible. But i think they are too old. It seems that they can't handle Texture Mipmaps. As you see on your screenshot Ogre uses 65MB of your Video Ram. Thats too much since you only have 64. Also try to add this setting to save VRam. Code: gEnableGrannyMaterials = false
