Post subject:  Handlepackets crash in cliclo.lua

Hey there, firstly I'm quite new to Iris but have read most of the stuff that's available and can't seem to figure out this crash. It happens when I login to the shard I play on www.oblivion2.com a RunUO 1.0 shard if it matters and on login it crashes giving me this error.

Code:
ERROR : LuaError
error running function `Main': ..//lua/lib.cliloc.lua:92: attempt to concatenate
local 'cliloc_id' (a nil value)
LuaStackTrace:

        ..//lua/lib.cliloc.lua:92: in function <..//lua/lib.cliloc.lua:89>
        [C]: in function `gsub'
        ..//lua/lib.cliloc.lua:98: in function `ParameterizedClilocText'
        ..//lua/lib.uotooltip.lua:178: in function `handler'
        ..//lua/lib.protocol.lua:98: in function `HandlePacket'
        ..//lua/lib.protocol.lua:77: in function `HandlePackets'
        ..//lua/main.lua:544: in function `MainStep'
        ..//lua/main.lua:422: in function <..//lua/main.lua:323>
If this error remains after running the updater and you think this is a bug
please check the BugTracker at www.iris2.de
and report it if it is not already known.
Please also append the logfile in bin/stacktrace.log to your bugreport.

Oddly enough if I login to characters far from any central location on the shard such as my house on other characters I can run around for a bit but then it crashes.

Hopefully there's a fix for this somehow because I'm absolutely loving this client and I'm planning on a little blog project in the future when my shard introduces a new siege-perilous-like instanced facet.[/code]

It seems the shard uses a tooltip with a reference to a specified cliloc ID.

I added a check in Iris to prevent this crash. But you seriousliy should fix that tooltip in your shard too.

Ahh unfortunately I have no influence on my shards actual development to work with Iris so it's quite unfortunate they haven't embraced it though I'm hoping to change that in the future. Thanks for the quick reply and fix, i very much appreciate it =)

he meant that there is a bug on your shard that the original client ignores, something has a wrong/nonexisiting tooltip id.
that's not really iris related, but shouldn't cause any problems besides a missing tooltip.

anyway, sience changed it so that iris ignores the wrong id now like the original client, so that should solve the problem =)
