Ok. This is the error I'm getting.

I have A fresh copy of AoS, fully patched. I set the path to my UO directory. Am I missing something?

Hi,

you probably installed the 2D version of AOS. try to install the 3D client.

do you have a Models subdirectory in you uo dir ?
is there a Models.txt in it ?

we tested mainly with the Mondains Legacy installation, maybe AOS uses different formats than we thought, please try with ML.

Just installed Mondains Legacy as told and ran all updates.
Started Vetus Mundus for some minutes to create 2 chars.
Installed iris2 and ran the update.
Configured data/config.lua - but ain't running

And I do not have uo/model dir

UO itself cannot be ran in 3D mode - The dialog of UO:ML has a disabled 3D button:

It was solved by downloading a different version.
YES: uoml_setup.exe 779.750 KB
NO: setup-1.46.0.3.exe 689.224 KB

I think OSI/EA doesn't distribute the uo:3d-client anymore in UO-GOLD or laters (therefore no 3d granny character meshes).

You should download UO:ML from here:

ok, do i understand this correctly ? : if you download the current version from osi, you don't get 3d model data. but if you download an old version and patch it up to the current version, the 3d data doesn't get deleted during the patch.

Thats correct. Patching up an old version (like ML) doesn't delete the /Models/ directory but disables the 3D-Client (just exchanges the 3d-client executable (uotd.exe) with a dummy).
