Post subject:  Problems installing the dev package
I followed the rules as described in the below mentioned link:

The installation of the MS SDK does work, but not that of the VS C++ Expresse package.
The client does not download needed files. Could you please distribute any link with the complete installation files?
Or is perhaps anybody else there that can reproduce the problem under Win XP (32 bit) SP2 on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 machine?

Thanks in advance, now I just go back to my status as a tester. :wink:

what client do you mean ? iris2 ? iris doesn't download a development environment.
if you mean the downloader thats available from the microsoft site, maybe its a firewall problem, maybe they have a FAQ with help, getting the development environment itself to run is a bit outside the scope of the iris wiki.
if you don't have experience developing software on windows, you should probably stick to the binary release.

I mean the download client for VC++ express. It does not download anything - and there also was no request from the firewall to be authenticated.

Somewhere on the MS site you can download an ISO Image for VS Express.

Download and burn to CD.
