You need the UO 3D Client.

here you go:

because iris2 uses the 3d character models from uo 3d client. We have compiled a list of UO:ML /SE versions with 3D support.

My bad.

Installed and patched the proper client. The iris window is running. When i connect to a shard a see a black flickering screen. In debug mode it seems to render models in huge closeup so the screen flickers again. In offline mode i see legs of a character and cant move.
Zoom dosen't work.
Any ideas?

Wrong OpenGL Driver or bad graphic card driver !?

Please post your Ogre.log file on our Bugtracker -> http://zwischenwelt.org/trac/iris/newticket

Maybe also activate debug output at the console and dump it to a file. Put this into your config.lua.

It's not an driver issue. I run full featured games using cededa. I also run all kinds of 3d linux-native apps.
Using nvidia driver for a GeForceGo 7300.

Console output. Started client and choosed offline mode. Client hanged on the last line as u can see.

mh this seems to be an unexpected error :-/.

try to disable most parts of the iris engine.

music, sound, choose a low graphic profile aso.

You can also disable most loaders. For example the granny loader (3d models).

For other options take a look into the config.lua.dist.

You use Ubuntu 32/64bit?
Do you use a non-modified fully patched UO:ML 3D Client?

just try this and put it in your config.lua:
