Post subject:  Problems with Iris2 on Linux KuruminNG
I tried to start with ./installdeps.ubuntu.sh
all files needed was installed.
then i tried ./stratbinary.sh and recive "rafael@Ilusion:~/UltimaOnline/iris_2.0.2525$ ./startbinary.sh

which linux distribution and version do you have?

I am using an OS Kurumin NG (an Kubuntu) version 8.06
I installed pkg-config an tried ./premakelinux.sh again and recived

apt-get install ccache
and then
./start.sh

the startbinary.sh is obsolete

try to locate the file Plugin_CgProgramManager.so
and adjust the iris/bin/plugin_linux.cfg

the ogre cg plugin is not in the ogre ubuntu packet i think...
* edit bin/plugins_linux.cfg
* remove the line Plugin=Plugin_CgProgramManager.so
(this will disable water shader and similar)

It seems that the shard you are connecting rejects your connection. Maybe your shard is too old, or for UO:KR Client ?

"forced Crash" means, it has a good "non Iris" reason to crash here.

Try another shard please. UOGamers, UODemise aso.

(the updater is win only afaik)

2d works a lot better in iris unstable/trunk than in the a bit old stable version.
you can get it by
Code:
sudo apt-get install subversion
svn co http://iris.schattenkind.net/svn/trunk/ iris

(this will create a "iris" dir inside the current working directory and download the latest iris version there.

ctrl-r is switching at runtime, and doesn't work currently (at least not for me)

you can do

./start.sh -2d


or you can add a line

to data/config.lua
