Post subject:  Extreme strange texture

Hello, last day I downloaded the UO.Gold(the last that's not KR) in the uo site and try to run with isis.
After many changes in configuring, compiling the ogre and iris in Slack12, i finally try to run iris.

I seen the loading screen, but it crash, wanning that can't locate some Monster patch, after search in the forum, i read that the gold version didn't come with the 3d files.
So I download the ML version, and remove(I don't locate the uninstall in the patch),after that, I run win with installer ML.exe and install the version.
When I became to update, the last version that UOPacth download is 5.0.some, but the last is 6 series, and now?

Alright! Maybe that runs....
Lets play?
I can log and.... the textures become extreme wear, very strange, with some "default"(like blender models) face in the chars, some texture didn't appear... very very ugly...

And now?
It's the shard?
I try in demise, alright I know that isn't allowed, but... why not? ;]

Thank You

patching ML beyond 5.0 : when the patcher asks for something like 3d or 2d, select 2d. the uo "3d" mode was 3d creatures, animals, chars , and rest 2d. it has been discontinued officially, but iris uses those 3d models.

bad textures : not sure what you mean, but some people have had mipmapping problems. (weird colors in the textures). What ogre version do you have ?
Should be at least 1.4.9.

if that still doesn't help, another thing you can try is updating / changing your gfx drivers (opensource or proprietary ones if applicable).

bad textures?

do you have an nvidia graphiccard?

if so update your drivers to the newest available. nvidia has some driver problems with hardware generated mipmaps.
