I have been watching Iris for a long time now and I see that it is possible to have a server with an Iris 2 Client, so that is what I have done. I am using RunUO 2 Final with the very basics to get the server up and running, which it is. I have started going through and finding out what is working and what needs work, and so far I am impressed that Iris has advanced so much since last time I gave it a try.

I created a server page and have now switched it over to my Iris project. http://sosariashonor.webs.com/
Any comments about the webpage is always well met. I am very excited to work on this project.

Unfortunately I have very limited skills and time, so this project might take sometime to get anywhere, but it will.
Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

To use the Iris client the game cannot be patched above 4.0.11c

you can patch up to the latest v7 with iris.

what you need is to use an old installer that still has 3d character models (see links on iris2 website).
patching up doesn't remove the 3d character models,
but using a new installer doesn't install them.
osi discontinued their "3d" client (3d characters but the rest of the world was still 2d).

Ohhhh well that is a big help, I thought they removed the 3D models after a certain patch, so this will make things much easier, thanks for the help with that.

Thanks a lot for adding another update, I have been busy with other things but I do plan on making a fully Iris 2 shard. I am working on my other shard at the moment but as soon as that is done I will be coming back to this project, again thanks for the update. I will be working on getting everything up and running this week.

I have been tinkering with a server I have and things are looking promising. Thanks for all the work you and your team has done, I really think this is the next step for UO.
