Ryzom game is open source since i don't know :P

I found it when i diggin some models to use in xna.

http://media.ryzom.com/

here is the media repository, 1.4 gb huge archive of textures, sprites, effects, models etc.

maybe you can find useful things for iris. It's all CC License.

Question is.. Is it worth the effort?

Most of these won't fit UO's setting in a long shot, we'd have to do a lot of manipulation.
The best I would say is to use some of the basic looking textures, but even then it's worthless because you need to apply it to your already created UV map then edit it to fit.. By then we could have just as easily painted our own texture.
