Iris2 has an Updater with a button and an "stable" "unstable" option as well.
But this is only for Windows (for now) and only for the core Iris2 distribution.
I think you talk about distributing custom UO files?
Thats a different point. As Iris2 is open source and every shard can modify Iris2 for his needs. They can also get our update Tool (
http://zwischenwelt.org/trac/iris/browser/tools/updater ) and modify it for their needs (add an option to also download the custom UO files).
I think its not our building site, to build a distribution system for custom shard files.
We build the Core Application. Thats a lot of work. I think, if a shard uses Iris2 they could implement this little feature theirself and give it back to the Iris2 project.
I think this is fair enough.
ps: it very easy to modify our updater (win32) to support custom uo files.
